Suntracks was created with the aim of connecting international music supervisors with the vast and rich catalog of popular and contemporary Spanish music.

After three successful editions in Seville, we are expanding the event with a special edition in Los Angeles in 2025.

Over two days, we will host two groups of 12 music supervisors each day, offering them a unique experience with Spanish music as the centerpiece.

Through five curated listening sessions presented by five exclusive curators from Spain’s music and film industries, we aim to open a door to showcase an immensely rich musical legacy.

We begin this journey with the proper introductions. Our host and master of ceremonies will be Rocío Mesa, a filmmaker and programmer known for connecting Spanish independent cinema with international audiences. She is also the co-founder of NAINO FILMS and director of LA OLA, the Spanish film festival based in Los Angeles. Rocío will introduce the curators and artists, and we will also be joined by key representatives from Spanish cultural institutions, including Rubén Gutiérrez (General Manager of Fundación SGAE – Spanish authors’ rights society) and Gonzalo del Puerto (Head of Events of the Instituto Cervantes in Los Angeles).

LISTENING SESSION 1 • 12:00 P.M.

In this first listening session, we invite you to immerse yourself in the unique tones and spirit of Spain. A carefully curated journey through pop, rock, and soul tracks from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, all infused with an unmistakable Iberian flair. Timeless melodies that capture decades of cultural fusion, blending the warmth of the Mediterranean, the depth of the Atlantic, and the soul of our land—while steering clear of world music clichés.

LISTENING SESSION 2 • 1:10 P.M.

Passion has a sound. Overflowing desire and heartbreak are forces that can lead us to extreme situations but also fuel creativity, inspiring musicians to compose with an authenticity that lets listeners feel every vibration in their skin, living each story as their own. Through various genres, rebe will guide us through this overwhelming impulse, exploring how each artist translates their version of passion into unique melodies, lyrics, and rhythms, wrapping the audience in an experience that pulses and burns, leaving them breathless and craving more.

LISTENING SESSION 3 • 2:50 P.M.

Discover the deep and dynamic interplay between Spain and Latin America in The Latin Connection, a session dedicated to exploring the mutual influences that have shaped their musical landscapes. From the traditional sounds of flamenco and bolero to the vibrant rhythms of cumbia, salsa, and reggaeton, this cultural dialogue has birthed genres and styles that transcend borders. Through music, stories, and insights, we’ll trace the paths of these shared influences, celebrating the creative exchange that continues to inspire and connect both sides of the Atlantic.

Judeline crafts a world where sound, emotion, and tradition meet with striking originality. Her music blends contemporary pop, electronic textures, and flamenco roots into something intimate and expansively universal. Beyond her songs, Judeline weaves a powerful visual identity, pairing poetic sensitivity with a dreamlike aesthetic. At just 22 years old, this Cádiz-born artist has carved out a singular space in today’s music scene, with a voice and vision entirely her own.
